This second edition was issued with two different dust jackets, one with a trooper on horseback and the other with a standing Indian which this copy is. Wheeler served also as a post trader and Indian agent, and was in command of Fort Reno in Oklahoma Territory. Excellent on Indians and Indian government scouts.
