This copy has a typed note from John Howell Books dated 1976 laid in. This copy sold for $600.00 in 76 and the Streeter copy sold for $200.00 in 1968. "One of the only authentic records of this famous bandit, Joaquin Murieta, who after deprecating up and down the Coast was finally captured by Capt. Love. Murieta's head was cut off and publicly exhibited at a dollar a look, and later sold at public auction for $63.00." Also has a chapter on Texas Jack. An extremely rare book, only a few known complete copies. Howes D308, Six-Guns 2402. rare.
